Absen announces new products and solutions at Global Spring Launch Event
Posted on Friday, April 1, 2022

April 1, 2022 - Absen Inc has announced new products and solutions during its Global Spring Launch Event.  The event was hosted by Key Account Manager Jeremy Hall and featured presentations from Christian Czminy, Ken Kalish, and Emma Liu. The almost two-hour broadcast touched on several topics including virtual production, foray into home market, the  announcement of NX Series and KL II, and finally, Absen’s continued push to connect with global partners.

Virtual Production

Christian announced that Absen is developing the Pixel Reality (PR) series for the virtual studio production line. PR can serve as the backdrop or ceiling in a virtual studio setting and will be available in a 1.2mm or 2.5mm pixel pitch for the backdrop and various pixel pitches for the ceiling. It has a high contrast ratio and anti-reflection on the surface of the panels to reduce glare from the camera. PR series has a wide color gamut, high brightness and HDR 10 that will improve the dark and bright picture areas. It also has a high frame rate and refresh rate that will allow the camera to not only capture the actor in front of the screen but also the signal from the screen as well. Installation is quick and easy, and the panels can be made into a curve for creativity.  PR will join the already available AX Pro Series, PL Series, JP Series, and MR series of Absen Virtual production products in the coming months.

Foray into High End Residential Solutions

Absen is currently preparing to enter the high-end residential Home theatre market. Absen expects to enter this market with improved developments in the already released Clear Cobalt (CL) series. It will be a 4k ready solution that has a high brightness and HDR10, along with a wide color gamut for optimal viewing. The protective black coating on the panels is a non-reflective surface that produces vivid, true to color images. The sizes available would be 110, 138, and 165 inches and have a modular design for flexible installation. There will be 5 feature viewing modes: cinema, sport, ambient, game, and Multiview. Each is customizable for each user for the best viewing experience and in Multiview mode, allow the user to watch 4 shows at once on a single screen. Applications for this new market include Luxury Living, Home Theatre, Reception Hall, and eventually, home television.

Absen also announced 2 more LED series, the NX and KL II Series that are poised to enter the market at a later date. The NX series is an ultra-lightweight panel with a 16:9 ratio and 43mm thin design. It has diagonal of 43 inches and has a pixel pitch range of 1.5mm to 3.7mm that allows users to hit both true 4k and 8k resolution, depending on the number of panels used. It also has a brightness of 1000 nits in normal situations and 1500 nits in the high brightness version. NX series also has HDR 10, a contrast ratio of up to 7600:1, and 16 bits of high grayscale imaging for a complete picture performance. Finally, it has anti-blue light and EMC Class B certification for a safe viewing experience. Applications include corporate facilities, transportation hubs, and retail stores.

The second series announced is the KL II series. Constructed of die-cast aluminum, KL II also has a 16:9 ratio that is more suitable to playing mainstream content and will be available in 1.2mm, 1.5mm, 1.8mm, and 2.5mm pixel pitch. With a brightness of 800 nits, a refresh rate of 3840 hz, KL II can achieve 2k, 4k, and even 8k resolution based on the size of the screen. The improved grayscale allows for greater detail, even under low light. It also supports a high frame rate of 120hz, which is perfect for playing high speed motion images, 3d content, and live sports for a clear action scenes. KL II has an optional dual power supply and receiving cards for continued operation in high stress applications. The innovative floating connectors between the panels and frame allow for easy installation and maintenance. Key applications for KL II include museums, casinos, retail, transportation, and other corporate applications.

Connecting with Global Partners,

To wrap up the event, Emma Liu introduced Absen Global Partner recruitment plan. As the market for LED continues to grow, Absen is actively seeking and recruiting more global partners to enhance the distribution channels as well as increase the partnerships with different companies that have skillsets that align with our products. These partnership will then allow Absen to grow even more in the LED market and be a force in the industry for years to come.
