Posted on Monday, November 1, 2010

LONDON - November 1, 2010 - AMX has been developing technologies that simplify the education world for the last 25 years and now the innovations of this market leading provider have won the company a coveted place in the final of the BETT Awards 2011. AMX has been shortlisted in two categories as part of the awards scheme which celebrates the best digital products and technology companies supplying ICT for education.

Widely regarded to be the most prestigious awards in the industry, the BETT (British Education and Training Technology) Awards showcase outstanding education sector products and learning solutions. AMX, whose systems have redefined the way schools and universities control, automate, monitor and manage their facilities and resources, has been shortlisted in the Environmental Sustainability category for its exclusive ClassroomManager technology and the ICT Education Partnership category, in recognition of its ongoing contribution to helping the University of Greenwich manage its state-of-the-art facilities.

"The education sector is an important market for us and one within which we have much to contribute. To receive recognition in this way reflects the significance of this contribution and we look forward to the Awards night itself." Said Chris Kendall, Business Development Director for Education, AMX Europe.

The winners of the BETT Awards 2011 will be announced at a ceremony on 12 January at the Hilton Park Lane, London. AMX will also be showcasing its innovations at BETT 2011 (12-15 January, London Olympia). Visitors to stand B59 will be able to find out, first hand, how AMX's ClassroomManager technology can facilitate proactive and facility-wide resource management. Part of AMX's Resource Management Suite®, ClassroomManager is a comprehensive solution that allows IT staff to monitor and maintain classrooms, lecture theatres and their associated electronic devices, across an entire facility, by networking all the equipment into one, unified solution. Real-time monitoring and problem notifications allow a facility's resources and equipment to be maintained proactively, with automatic and routine checks being made to the system's status. And, using its full reporting capabilities, users can access instant, web-based analysis on a range of subjects; giving an unrivalled understanding of equipment, resource and energy usage, for optimum operating efficiency.

There are an increasing number of technologies and operating platforms in today's classrooms and learning spaces - AMX solves the complexity of managing and controlling this technology with reliable, consistent and user-friendly systems. Whether for a single classroom or multi-location campus; AMX can effectively network all of the multimedia and facility operation equipment into one time-efficient, cost-cutting solution. Technology is meant to simplify a teacher's life, not complicate it, so visit stand B59 or www.amx.com/eu and find out how technological integration by AMX can create vibrant and interactive learning spaces and save time, energy and money, whilst allowing the teachers to focus on teaching.
