AMX Rises to the Saville Challenge

LONDON - May 24, 2011 - When Saville Audio Visual appealed to the industry on behalf of the children's charity, Rainbow House, AMX rose to the challenge with a donation that has helped the specialist supplier raise in excess of £10,000 for the cause.

The Saville Running Challenge 2011 took place in Manchester on the 15th May, as part of the BUPA Manchester 10k Run. All the runners were tasked with raising a minimum of £250 towards a combined target of £5,000; a total which was in fact doubled through generous donation.

"When we heard about the Saville Challenge, we were only too happy help." Said AMX Europe Managing Director, Kevin Morrison. "Thanks to the fundraising efforts of Saville and its team, a fantastic sum of money has been raised for what is a very worthwhile charity. We are proud to have been part of this effort."

Specialising in providing services for children with brain injuries, disabilities and life limiting conditions, the Rainbow House provides daily support to former Saville employee Christian Spragg whose daughter, Ilaria, was born with cerebral palsy.

"This is the second year in succession that AMX has raised funds for our nominated charity. Last year AMX staff took part in the Saville Challenge and also held their own events to raise monies for Rainbow House. AMX's generous £3,000 donation really gave the team a boost and further reinforces the relationship between our two companies." Adds Colin Etchells, Group Installation Manager, Saville Audio Visual.
