Analog Way announces Axion2, a new High End Remote Controller

February 2011 - Analog Way, a leading designer and manufacturer of image converters and presentation switchers, is pleased to unveil Axion2 (Ref. ARC200), a new High End Remote Controller. Axion2 was specifically designed for Live Events and Multi-Screen Venues, and can control the whole new generation of Analog Way's Seamless Switchers. It was unveiled on Analog Way's booth during Integrated Systems Europe 2011 in early February in Amsterdam, NL.

After the release of Axion in 2007, Analog Way is pleased to release Axion2, a powerful Remote Controller with completely redesigned architecture to better fill the needs of live applications.

Axion2 is compatible with Analog Way's new generation of Seamless Switchers including: Di-VentiX II, Eikos and Eikos LE, OPS300, OPS200, Smart MatriX and Smart MatriX LE, Smart Edge, Smart Quad, Pulse and Pulse LE, SmartVu and SmartVu LE. The Seamless Switchers can be controlled either as stand-alone processors or in combination, including Soft Edge Blending configurations.

Axion2 can control up to 6 independent screen configurations in different locations (single display or multiple projectors in Soft Edge Blended mode) and store up to 90 presets per screen configuration. Axion2 allows off-line programming so that users can start their programming when Seamless Switchers are not connected to the console.

Thanks to the new Sequences mode, series of presets can be created into up to 9 sequences for the 6 different screen configurations. Each sequence, able to contain up to 90 presets, will appear on Axion2's 16/9 TFT colour touch screen. By pressing the Take button, each preset of the sequence will be automatically recalled. An Auto Take button is also available to launch the whole sequence in a timed mode.

Axion2 is also equipped with useful features that will enable users to program their show or make live adjustments quickly. A Snap button provides a magnetic grid on the console's touch screen so that operators can easily organize their elements.
User element buttons are also available to automatically repeat the traits of an element (size, position, transition,...) and apply it to the sources chosen by the user. A Toggle Preset button will automatically alternate 2 presets, and a Swap button can be used to make a swap between two layers.

"Axion2 results from deep research made in close collaboration with customers working in the live industry or on complex integrations", explains Franck Facon, Worldwide Marketing & Communications Director at Analog Way. "This research phase helped us develop Axion2 with improved design and smart features that will enable operators to program elaborate shows quickly and with unprecedented ease-of-use, even in a live environment."
