Bridgeville, Penn. — Brightline, a leading manufacturer of energy efficient lighting systems, today announced it has upgraded its L1.2 and L1.4 LED SeriesONE studio light fixtures with variable color temperature and improved color rendering. Plus, the fixtures are now available with optional wireless DMX/RDM (remote device management) control that provides bidirectional RF signal distribution between the transmitter and lighting console, and eliminates the need for DMX cables.
In addition to remote control, an integrated control wheel and digital on-board readout enable users to select precise color temperatures from 3200-5600K (tungsten to daylight). SeriesONE fixtures already offer DMX control, and wireless DMX/RDM adds the ability to set color temperature through a lighting console, with one channel controlling color and a second channel controlling dimming.
“Our customers are going to love the improvements in our SeriesONE lights, particularly as we haven’t raised our prices or reduced our brightness,” explained Kathy Katz, Brightline managing partner. “Not only did we add precise color temperature control, but the new color rendering is the highest available with a near perfect 98 CRI. Plus, the optional wireless RDM simplifies programming control without cables cluttering your lighting grid, and it facilitates easy level and cue changes from the floor versus the top of a ladder.”
To minimize weight, the compact L1.2 and its twice as powerful complement – the L1.4 – are made from aluminum, similar to Brightline’s remote phosphor models. Designed for convection cooling, the fixtures feature no fans or liquid cooling methods, resulting in noiseless operation with no moving parts. Metallic cool charcoal powder coat finish is standard, with custom colors available. The updated SeriesONE fixtures will begin shipping in late August.
