Electro-Voice launches additions to the award-winning EV-Innovation loudspeaker family at InfoComm 2010 (Booth C6302)

Las Vegas, Nev., June 9, 2010: Electro-Voice is launching additions to its award-winning EV-Innovation family of installation-dedicated loudspeakers at InfoComm 2010.

The EV-Innovation family’s first offerings – EVA (Expandable Vertical Array), EVF (front-load) and EVH (horn-load) – quickly became the pro AV industry’s most talked-about loudspeaker systems after launching at InfoComm 2009, with dozens of new installations around the world bearing testimony to their unique combination of audio quality, aesthetic detail, contractor-friendly features, energy efficiency and exceptional value.

Now the largest loudspeaker development program in Electro-Voice history expands even further, with the introduction of new EVA, EVF and EVH models enhanced by the breakthrough performance of Electro-Voice’s latest DVX and SMX woofers and the new DH7N neodymium compression driver, along with the addition of new subwoofers to the family.

EVA:
EVA-1151D single 15-inch subwoofer and EVA-2151D dual 15-inch subwoofer
These units employ the new high-power, 500-W (cont.), 2000-W (peak) DVX3159A woofer. They can be configured to provide a cardioid directional pattern that helps reduce feedback and keeps low-frequency signals out of undesired areas.

EVA accessories
The new EVA-SG2 and EVA-EG2 grids allow EVA subwoofers to be arrayed with full-range elements. The new EVA-CG coupler grid allows single subwoofers to be flown behind a full-range array, or to configure dual subs in front with a single sub behind for cardioid arrays.
EVF:
EVF-1122D/XX 12-inch and EVF-1152D/XX 15-inch full-range systems
These augment the currently available “S” full-range systems, featuring higher power, 500-W woofers, the DVX3121A (12-inch) and DVX3151A (15-inch). The “D” full-range systems also feature the new DH7N large-format compression driver with 3-inch diaphragm and neodymium magnetic structure. These premium components provide improved dynamic performance, including reduced distortion and power compression. Seven coverage patterns are available, ranging from 40° x 30° (/43) to 120° x 60° (/126). All horns are rotatable.

EVF-2121S dual 12-inch low-frequency loudspeaker
This system joins the currently available EVF-1121S single 12-inch system, providing additional low-frequency output for the full-range systems from a system with high power capacity and maximum output ability (800 W/129 dB continuous).

EVF-2151D dual 15-inch front-load subwoofer
Utilizing two of the new DVX3159A woofers, this system joins the currently available EVF-1181S single 18-inch subwoofer system, extending the response of the full-range systems to 43 Hz (3 dB down), with high power capacity and maximum output (1,000 W/131 dB continuous).

EVH:
EVH-1152D/XX 15-inch horn-loaded full-range systems
These augment the currently available “S” full-range, horn-loaded systems, and feature the new DH7N large-format compression driver with 3-inch diaphragm and neodymium magnetic structure. This premium component provides improved dynamic performance, including reduced distortion and power compression. Six coverage patterns are available, ranging from 40° x 30° (/43) to 90° x 90° (/99), with directivity control to 500 Hz, useful in reverberant environments. All high-frequency horns and the mid-frequency waveguides are rotatable.
