$100,000 Innovation Awards to Recognize Campuses Who Are Leading the Way In Emerging Technology

RICHARDSON, Texas - February 22, 2011 - AMX®, the leading provider of solutions that simplify the implementation, maintenance, and use of technology to create effective environments, has partnered with the University Business Leadership Institute to launch the AMX Innovation Awards at EduComm. The exclusive awards program is designed to recognize innovative higher-education accomplishment and practices.

The AMX Innovation Awards at EduComm will recognize an individual recipient from a member institution of the AMX Education Alliance (or a member institution as a whole) in each of the following categories:
 
Automation and Control-for the most innovative use of automation and control systems in learning environments. AMX will provide a prize of $25,000 in technology and equipment to the winner of this award.
 
Collaboration Initiatives-for the most innovative collaboration practices in higher education. AMX will provide a prize of $25,000 in technology and equipment to the winner of this award.
 
The New Learning Space Award-for the most innovative new learning space implementations in higher education. AMX will provide a prize of $50,000 in technology and equipment to the winner of this award.
 
The AMX Education Alliance is a global consortium of administrators and educators in higher education who come together in an open environment dialog to discuss best practices and future uses of technology in educational institutions. The free program is available to new and existing college and university customers of AMX.
